The Pure Noise Tour Kicks off in Stockton... | Arts & Culture

The Noise Records Tour 2012 kicks off in Stockton on Friday February 24th 7pm at The Plea for Peace Center 630 E Weber Ave; the tour features some of the best up and coming Pop Punk bands touring the US today. I am very excited to have all these bands and honored that Stockton is the first date of the US Tour. Sometimes you see a band and know they are going to do something, sometimes you are surprised when they do, The Story So Far has surprised me at just how fast they are doing something these kids have exploded on the American and Worldwide Pop Punk Scene. The American Scene are a great punk rock and roll band with great vocals and songs to match. Forever Came Calling are one of the hardest working and nicest bunch of guys you will ever meet and to top it off they write some catchy songs. Local favorites Second to Last are right at home on this bill they recently just finished a mid west tour with TSSF and word is have recently signed to HELLA MAD RECORDS, look out for good things to come from them. Skouts Honor a regular at Plea for Peace have some of the best vocals and catchiest songs. Skouts Honor have a new CD coming out soon and have just announced they will be doing some dates in Europe this summer. Who knows this might be the last time you get to catch many of these bands in such an intimate venue. Sunday February 26th will be the last date for the Plea for Peace Battle of the Bands 15 bands have competed and we are down to the final 5. City Psychology(Modesto), Jaguar Christ(Stockton), Otterpop Bandits(Stockton), Sunny Days in Antarctica(Stockton) and Zephyr(Manteca) will finish off this great competition. Scores will be tallied and winners will be annouced.
